Pictures around Cromer with the National Galleries of Scotland
From The Monarch of the Glen to the Reverend Walker
It is a challenge for people of all ages to travel to see good quality and exciting art. Cost and location can make it difficult, but the Bigger Picture collaboration between Cromer Artspace and the National Gallery London in 2022/23 brought about a significant change to the streets of this coastal town
For 2025 Cromer Artspace are working with the National Galleries of Scotland, with a new exhibition on the streets of Cromer. “The real success of delivering exhibitions to the streets of Cromer is bringing quality art to a rural community with difficult links to where national art is found. People love that the art is liberated from galleries for them to see, brightening the streets”
Cromer Artspace are developing links with other national galleries and will be bringing outdoor exhibitions in conjunction with the Towner, the Courtauld and the Tate in future years.
